The Business side of Things ...

I'm a businessman so that means I'ma never restrict myself to blogging about fashion only.
So now we got this new law in my country the other day.Hell'a lotsa hysterical up in here but how will this new laws help me and the youth generation? Are we now get the jobs every young person be anticipating for?term me proud but for now ain no waiting for the damn government to come get me any job post.I'ma hustle ma way up,through thick o' thin. why you think am still up at 0330hrs on a saturday night..
The past two weeks I've been privileged to be working with some really talented folks on two projects we setting up.That one's for another day.Well I appreciate being around guys who understand whats going on and I just try hard find people who can help to tell a story about what's important and where the future is going.I think its now the time for govts to bring together innovators from government and the private sector to highlight technology and ideas that can be applied to the nation’s great challenges. In areas as diverse as education, health care, energy, jobs, and financial sector, there are unique opportunities to rethink how government agencies perform their mission and serve citizens. Social media, cloud computing (the trend where companies, rather than users, store and manage an increasing range of personal data.),this data can be found everywhere on the world wide web. Hotmail and Gmail replacing desktop email, YouTube taking over as a personal video platform, and Flickr competing with desktop photo storage solutions. Facebook, Myspace and other social networks have pioneered new kinds of tools that couldn't exist on the desktop, and more new models are sure to emerge. The web, and mobile technologies -- all provide unique new capabilities that government agencies are beginning to harness to achieve demonstrably better results at lower cost. How?
I dont rely on my govt not now,not 3-4yrs ago (maybe tommorow) I rely on my brain to make my living. Without my brain, I'd be ... a zombie, I guess. Our government let us down on a number of occasion but since shouts of "Its a new dawn" echoing all over its high time the same same govt quickly tap on this hope that kenyans are burning up with.daen take a rockets scientist to know that a govt can capitalise on the hopes of its people.
Technology taps on innovative ideas.think our govs needs realise this fast like real fast then helpit to grow like a weed. Also I think they ought'a work hard on opening the doors to innovation -How?realising the power of Platforms.By platforms the same concept of how Apple  revolutionised  smart phones.Govts can learn through Apple. It’s called the power of a platform to spark innovation. It gave out its smart phone iPhone by opening up that phone to independent developers.softwares as well as innovative young techs. Initially they developed 15 to 20 applications they designed and released themselves soon became hundreds of thousands.

We now pocess a very important asset the freedom to understand, discuss, repair, and modify the technological devices you own.Read more educate and enrich yo lives.
Currently reading different thesis' of CITP's that uses Princeton’s unique strengths to promote an informed public discussion of digital technologies.

Boot Camp

some of the ankle boots on display

It’s that time of the year when we have our winter season in our part of the world [South of the Sahara] _July and August and dressing according to the weather is a must. Last month I sold two pair of winter boots to a good friend of mine who also happens to be our very good customer. Can tell she was pleases. She texted me early this week eti she found the perfect pair of winter boots! They even have those modest heels (she daen do heels at all was even surprised) but of course being boots the balance is super even if one doesn’t do heels. Since this serendipitous discovery, she all but refuses to take the boots off! That is until she finds the next perfect shoe!  Or until winters over hehe .We trying as much as possible to stock enough boots especially those warm fur winter boots. Of course, we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface on the amazing boots out there but hey Its our passion as wel as our hustle so we do what we gota do.
Some of the typical boots we have are
    • Bottom sole two piece, one part for the heel and one part for the front part of foot, This sometimes only seen in roper toe cowboy type boots. I think y’all get the idea.
    • Zip ankle boots, most usually with round toe very similar to roper style.
    • Suede material boots
    • Real fine Leather boots

Now try tucking in some pencil jeans-nahmean!!

Ni wet look shouting red.Daaamn HOOT!!!

some two split heel and face

This something You can walk with

Ankle boots can be dressed up or down, and can be paired with nearly everything in your wardrobe. Buh I think they work best with short skirts that show lots of leg. Long skirts can also work with ankle boots too depending with how you know to wear the long skirt. But again I think one has to choose a fuller skirt that hides the leg completely. Basically, avoid any skirts with lengths that hit at the knee down to lengths that hit at the ankle.
This boots are wearable with just about any type of pants, from wide legged versions to tight cigarette pants, or even leggings. A rule of thumb: when wearing ankle boots with pants, do not tuck the pants into the boots unless the pants are very slim. Wide-legged pants balloon out when tucked into ankle boots, resulting in an unattractive look.
You should always try on ankle boots before buying, to make sure the boots fit at all parts of your foot. Tightness in any part of the boot can make wearing the boots uncomfortable. Walk around a bit with the ankle boots on to see how they feel.

How hyped are Fashion Bloggers???

Only a few years ago this concept was unheard of. Today, building a strong online sales channel is often vital to the success of an emerging fashion business buh trust me the task can be hell ‘a daunting. I must admit that; feel like it's rather premature to do a 'blogging moments' retrospective. See bloggers have only been inducted to the big fashion machine a few seasons ago. It's like Lil Twist Young Money’s rookie releasing a 'Greatest Hits' album. We still have a long way to go. Every day’s a new day...days full of opportunities and swinging doors. Most folks in this part of the globe are now embracing the online shopping idea. I think it is where things have evolved to. Some of our friends now shop online. Fashion bloggers give you the best ideas and all that. There are so many new things to learn, so many new events to experience to further hone our craft. This group of bloggers is now beginning to be appreciated into the high society. Fashion is everywhere. It’s just a way of life

Welcome to our shoe world

They say you can tell so much bout a man just by the kinda shoes they donning.*sigh* Oh well gota say we love our shoes hehe. Good shoes define a man’s character. Yes we n!ggaz doing a blog bout shoes and fashion but hey a man gota live his dream, erm who’s gona do it for me-definitely not you. So chill allow us to educate you more on what we love to do with our lives-Shoes and all that’s associated with it.
See! errone’s jus entitled to earn and learn. It’s just not about picking up a shoe and wearing it c’mon son choose carefully what you subject you feet to. Ladies ofcos will be spared when it comes to shoes. Well most of them are highly sensitive with what they wear. Be it heels, boots or flats. Trust us we’ve engaged so much in ladies wears to know how they love shoes. Even a bird that’s not into fashion is cautious of protecting her feet.
Since it’s a competitive environment we in today we gota move a step to be ahead in this game. We decided to do a blog. After al it will double as our marketing and advertisement tool. I'm sure more are on the way, given that most (intelligent) businesses now have at least some incorporation of social media in their core marketing strategy.
Business and social media are becoming more and more inseparable. Most businesses, from big brands to startups, are expected to have an efficient, developed social media presence. While we’re all obviously fans of the digital world, it’s great to see when social media leads to real results.
Social Media’s integration into the workplace is an exponentially growing trend, yet, many businesses are choosing to block social networking sites to employees It will be interesting to see how this tool is actually useful to our business. Will it be used to customize offers? Will it be used to zero in micro blogging content for tighter market segments? I suppose we will find out. Social Media Optimization" and business tools associated with it are cropping up all over the place. Appears to be a hot space to be in right now.
I'm skeptical about how many people *actually* know when those things really (positively) influence their attitudes towards a brand. But hey if I can dream so can I achieve. Since after high school when I started getting involved with the business I’ve amassed quite some knowhow of how the streets and Nairobi fashion operate .most ‘a my friends are involved one way or the other with how our city’s culture defines our fashion ways
I believe fashion is a form of expression… one, where u can mix and match making it look good with your own confidence and it all depends how you carry it on…Fashion is everywhere. In the streets, in trees, in buildings, in hood corners where n!ggahz hang out. Wearing brands is nice but not mandatory… having it all doesn’t bring happiness just provides pretty things to look at, etc etc… It should be of no surprise that you find folks around here keenly getting absorbed wit the brands their friends wear. Or what’s trending now. Online Fashion frenzy is starting to catch up more now than before .more so it’s an art which is getting recognized fast others like [Bailey Green, London’s Independent newspaper] terming it a necessity.

BURBERRY Digital Campaign

By dazed digital
In preparation for their Autumn/Winter 2010 collections, Burberry has developed a new interactive advertising campaign giving users complete control over the perspectives of the campaign, cast and products. Using innovative technology, users are able to select and control the views of the motion-responsive images and video as shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino. The 14 images and six interactive videos showcasing the Burberry  campaign.

can be clicked, rotated, paused and dragged 180 degrees, presenting the collections for BurberryProrsum, Burberry London, Burberry Brit and Burberry Accessories collections.
The campaign launches globally July 2010

I saw last year's art of the trench  Burbbery's campaign an evolving celebration of the world-famed Burberry trench coat with world renowned photographers.
Im thinking if more of our young folks undertook this form of marketing, well things would be much easier for us in this part of the globe.
Marketing has traditionally focused on the four P's product price place and promotion.social media has morphed into the fifth and possibly the most important P people.a people strategy is at the center of today's dynamic  and fluid social marketing mix. John Janistch of Duct tape marketing has another take on the four p's and has turned them into four Cs for the social age:content ,context connection and community. A people strategy is much broader deeper and more profound than consumer targeting. It involves listening to and engaging with everyone1who can touch or influence current and potential customers at all stages of brand interaction. Jeff pulver is a savvy guy who has laid his finger on the pulse of this dynamic for some time.”the social media revolution is less about |”we the people and more about “me the people.. Pulver said
social  media has changed the way people interact amongst themselves ands with their media. People play multiple sometimes simultaneous roles as receivers ,creators  critics  advocates  transformers and transmitters of messages. Brian solis conservation prism helps to put this mash -up into perspective
Bob Mac Donald CEO procter and Gambler sums up jus how far a me the people movement can go: what I would like to have is a one on one relationship with the seven billion people in the globe and be able to customize oferings for those seven billion people. Diigtal allows that relationship.
Seth Goldin insight into how this is driving change in c-suites is brilliant the role of the CMO has changed from chief marketing officer to chief movement officer. the stage is set .In 2010 Social media has introduced the advertising business to its next BIG disruption this time the state of the advertising business is quite differrent. advertising is struggling to recapture relevance .It is mired in murky fee-based compensation systems dealing with loss of control  and trying to keep up with the accelerating pace of media dispersion.

There has to be mindset shift away from deficit based downside thinking to asset based upside thinking. we need to embrace the power of letting go reaffirm core values that maximize the potential power of what is working and experiment  with our new models.

I would really like to see corporations in our country come out to support young entrepreneurs with their ideas so we all can grow.
Burberry's campaigns are a clear evidence of how they are fitting in into the social sphere through healthy advertising and marketing fonts.

Planet Converse

Converse..*sigh* these Sneakers yup the classic ones they hold a high place in the annals of American and European footwear. I’m talking those typical rubber shoes y’al folks own. if you still don’t, you need a pair in yous closet. And we don’t mean tennis sneakers, or running sneakers. Or ‘Hybrid’’ sneakers erm not those son we talking Canvas sneakers. Converse and the likes this are an everyday fashionable staple.

The Converse hightop is set to get a sleek new update to mark the 10th anniversary of shoe store, Size? later on this month.
Sometime in 1908, Marquis Mills Converse decided to start a rubber shoe company, bypassing a rubber trust that prevented most companies from doing business directly with their retailers.(about converse.).this detail of its rich history shows how these Chucks have survived time and still rock soles.
